8.6 Blackout LD Custom+

$90.00

Subsonic ammo is not a “one size fits all” proposition and is made to order due to specific barrel length requirements. If building an 8.6, verify that suppressor alignment is concentric to the bore with a suppressor alignment check rod. If you don’t have a suppressor alignment check rod, follow the suppressor manufacturer’s recommended instructions. This is a custom service and can take up t0 2 weeks until fulfillment.

    Description

This service is for the 8.6 Blackout LD Custom+ service.

8.6 Blackout LD Custom+ consists of 20 rds of the best performing load from LD Stage 1. These individual load groups will also be color coded like in the 8.6 Blk Sample Pack, but with the added fine tuning of OAL, and primer types…example, 5 rds of 300gr Rex with OAL 2.690″ with primer A, 5 rds of 300gr Rex with OAL 2.780″ with primer A, 5 rds of 300gr Rex with OAL 2.690″ with primer B, and 5 rds of 300gr Rex with OAL 2.780″ with primer B.

When you receive the LD Custom+ pack, you’ll want to shoot each individual color-coded group using good marksmanship fundamentals on a stable surface or platform to determine which of the four loads shot best in your firearm. Once it’s determined which is the best overall performer, you can order that load in the future, but it must be entered into the notes which color code and load was settled on so that we can make your ammo. This service can add an additional week to your order until fulfillment but is often sometimes the only way to squeeze out the best performance.

TIP: using a chronograph is the best way to determine consistency of the load and will further aid in narrowing down what’s the optimal load. Some results can be deceiving and there are always human error and environmental factors to consider. A load that shot 1 moa for example but has a standard deviation of 20 will not outperform a load that shot 1.2 moa with a standard deviation of 3…it could mean that you pulled it, or a gust of wind set the projectile off course slightly.
